COVID cases have been declining over the past several weeks.  At this time the CDC currently advises masks only in areas listed as having high transmission, those that have COVID, or have been exposed to COVID.   According to the Lucas County Health Department the COVID-19 Community Level is Low and the health department says that individuals should stay up to date with vaccines and get tested if they have symptoms.   No mask requirements listed and per the Lucas Co Dept of Health, People may choose to mask at any time.  Per the City of Toledo: “The City of Toledo’s mask mandate, which took effect July 14, 2020, will be voluntary as of June 2, 2021, to mirror the guidelines set forth by the State of Ohio and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention…”.

Based upon this information, credit union employees, members, and visitors to the credit union should wear a mask if they have been exposed to COVID and may wear a mask if they so choose.  For those members or visitors wearing a mask, the credit union staff may ask individuals to remove the mask to verify the individuals identity.

NEW MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDANCE

The Ohio Department of Health has amended the health order concerning the wearing of a face covering/mask for fully vaccinated individuals, which allows those who have been vaccinated to stop wearing masks and do not need to maintain social distancing.   Under the CDC's new guidance, those who have not been fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask and socially distance.

The credit union will follow the CDC’s guidance.  For the safety of our members, visitors, and employees, if you are not considered fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine then we request that you wear a mask and maintain social distancing while you are inside the credit union.

While we are not requiring all individuals to wear a mask, we will allow a mask to be worn if an employee, member, or visitor chooses to wear a mask.  Our staff may ask members and visitors to temporarily remove the face covering so we can verify your identity.

We understand that not everyone is ready to take this step and we encourage our members to utilize our drive-thru locations, ATM’s, online banking, mobile banking, and telephone banking.  If you need special accommodations, please reach out to your branch to set an appointment with one of our team members.

Thank you for your continued membership and support of Champion Credit Union. We look forward to seeing you as Ohio continues its path of reopening across the state!

Champion Credit Union Lobby Reopening Plan

To our employees, members, and guests:

I am certain that many of you continue to monitor the current situation regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic and how it is impacting the general health and economy of our state and country. Recently Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine, has announced the Responsible Restart Ohio Plan. As part of the Responsible Restart Ohio Plan, Champion Credit Union will begin the process of reopening its lobbies beginning June 15, 2020.

Below is an outline of what can be expected upon your return to our branch lobbies. These items are being put into place to create as safe of an environment as possible for our employees, members, and guests as we begin to transition into reopening our lobbies:

  1. Our teller staff have been provided with protective shields and will be wearing face coverings unless a doctor has provided a note indicating that the employee cannot wear the face covering due to a pre-existing medical condition.
  2. All members and guests are being asked to wear a face covering when entering a Champion Credit Union branch.  Our staff may ask all members and guests to temporarily remove the face covering so we can verify your identity.
  3. Each location will have strict building occupancy limits with clearly marked areas to stand. Each location will also have a designated waiting area outside of the branch as well. If the waiting area is full, please remain in your vehicle until a spot opens or please proceed to the drive-thru (for locations with a drive-thru).
  4. Each branch will accept walk in requests to meet with a member of our staff to discuss loan, deposit account, and member service inquiries or issues.

We understand that not everyone is ready to take the step of re-entering society during these uncertain times. Champion Credit Union is encouraging and is still providing services through our drive-thru locations, ATM’s, online banking, mobile banking, and telephone banking.  If you need special accommodations, please reach out to your branch to set an appointment with one of our team members.

Thank you for your continued membership and support of Champion Credit Union. We look forward to seeing you as Ohio continues its path of reopening across the state!

03/20/2020  Loan Modification/Skip A Payment(s) Available

We’re committed to helping our members who may be experiencing hardships as a result of the COVID-19 virus.  Because we understand it may be difficult to make payments on time, we are offering our members a no fee loan modification/skip-a-payment option for those affected by the COVID-19 virus.  If you would like to take advantage of this option, you may choose to skip the April, May, or both payments on your CCU loans by completing the request that can be found on the home page.  Just print, complete, sign and return to the credit union to relieve some of the financial stress you may be experiencing.

If you choose to take advantage of this offer, we will extend your final loan payment by the number of monthly payments you are skipping. Finance charges will continue to accrue on your loan during the month(s) you skip your payment at the rate in your original loan agreement. Premium charges for Credit Protection will continue to accrue on the loan during the skipped payment period.  GAP coverage may have claims reduced due to the skipped payment(s). The loan(s) being modified may not currently be more than 45 days delinquent.  You will be required to make your normal monthly payment on the due date in the month following the skipped payment(s).  Other conditions may apply.  All loan modification/payment skip requests are subject to credit union approval.  For loans secured by a residence that have an escrow account attached to the loan, you understand by modifying the loan and skipping the payment(s), you may experience an escrow shortage which may cause an increase to your minimum monthly payment during the following escrow recalculation period.

If you have a Visa Credit Card with us, we are extending this offer to our Visa Cardholders as well.  A message will appear on your CCU Visa Statement regarding this.  If you would like to skip your minimum monthly payment on your CCU Visa, you don’t need to fill out a form, simply skip the payment(s) in April, May, or both, and resume your payment in June.  Finance charges will continue to accrue.  You may still choose to make your monthly payment.

We’re all in this together, and Champion Credit Union is here for you.

If you have any questions regarding this, please reach out to any staff member and we will be happy to help in any way we can.
