Champion Credit Union has been notified of a data breach of MasterCard and Visa debit and credit card account numbers by a U.S. third party payment processor (not affiliated with the Credit Union, MasterCard, or Visa). It is estimated that as many as 10 million MasterCard and Visa card accounts are impacted.
To protect yourself and the credit union against potential losses, you should monitor your account closely and frequently through Virtual Branch, Mobile Money, and Audio Response for MasterCard debit cards or www.EzCardInfo.com for Visa credit cards. Report any unusual or unauthorized activity to the credit union immediately. When the credit union is closed, please use the following numbers to report unusual or unauthorized transactions and have your card blocked: For debit cards contact (800) 472-3272 and for Visa cards contact (800) 991-4961.

The credit union will be taking any necessary steps to eliminate or minimize potential losses to our members and the credit union, including blocking cards or transactions performed in areas where high fraud is occurring. New cards may be issued for accounts affected by the breach.

As always the safety of our member’s account is of upmost importance to the credit union, we will do everything in our power to minimize losses.
